Guitarist Chris Poland is a rock/fusion guitarist with superchops, a liquid tone and a good feel for fiery, fast blues lines on his latest trio release. Poland, ex-Megadeth (don't be fooled by this), is one of the strongest exponents of the rock/fusion genre and is sure to appeal to fans of Shawn Lane, Vai, Greg Howe, Brand X, and the like. Support is provided by fine fretless bassist Robertino Pagliari, among others. Highlights include the live cut recorded at The Baked Potato, "Alexandria '99". Forthcoming is a recording by Poland and Pagliari's new rock/fusion group, OHM, as well. Recommended.
