... Craig Erickson and Rob Lamothe (ERICKSON / LAMOTHE) are currently on the second leg of the european
tour for the "SHINE" disc. In october of this year, the band will start working on a new disc (the follow-up to
the amazing "SHINE" disc). Look for a 2003 release date. We are also talking to Craig Erickson about doing a
RAW, STRIPPED-DOWN heavy blues/rock power trio disc for a possible 2003 release.
... The ever-amazing Rob Lamothe is currently working on a new solo disc for our subsidiary label called
SOUTHGROOVE RECORDS. The new, as yet untitled disc finds the world-class vocalist laying his burdens
down on a set of way-kool, deep, bluesy stripped-down to the "dirt floor" trax. Including some choice new
original trax and several amazingly kool obscure cover trax, brother Rob's new disc will cut deep and further
solidify his reputation as being one of the greatest vocalists in this world (or "out of this world" in this case!!!)
Pure and simple, ROB LAMOTHE is the GOODS. Look for a November release date on this kool new rob disc.
... And last but not least, in the near future we will be making the LOCOMOTIVE BREATH: "Heavy Machinery"

... First of all, we'd like to wish everybody out there a happy new year from the grooveyard.
As the new year unfolds, it looks like the first leg of the Craig Erickson Euro-Tour for
"Shine" will take shape, complete with our good musical brother Rob Lamothe on vocals. Here are
the dates for the tour:
3.8 DOWNTOWN BLUES CLUB - HAMBURG, GERMANY
... make sure to catch these gigs @ all costs!!!
... At the beginning of January, Craig played the NAMM Show in L.A. and had a chance to jam
and hang out with some kool people. He is also working on trax for his next disc, which will
be a raw bluesy heavy guitar ripper.
... Axemaster CHRIS POLAND is currently working on his OHM opus in Los Angeles. Recording of
the trax to be included on the disc are almost completed and the mix process will follow.
From the rough mixes that we've heard, it's going to be an awesome disc. We will keep you
posted on all developments.

... The PLANKTON debut disc has been delayed due to the mix process and working with the
studio's
schedule. At this point in time, we are looking at a late April/early May release date for
the PLANKTON disc. We will keep you posted on all developments revolving around this
amazing heavy guitar band and their debut disc on Grooveyard Records. In the meantime,

... We are currently talking to Swedish blues/rock guitar legend CLAS YNGSTROM from the
band SKY HIGH about doing a new disc for the Grooveyard. SKY HIGH have been around for years,
released many kool discs and CLAS YNGSTROM is one of the best Hendrixy, get-down bluesy
heavy guitar rippers we have ever heard. The new disc will be one of Clas' heaviest efforts
to date and he will take his guitar right over the edge... Prepare to be blown away!
We are shooting for a mid-2002 release date for the new Sky High disc. As an added note,
we are also talking to Clas about re-issuing the first two SKY HIGH albums on c.d. for the
first time. These two classic discs are long overdue for release on c.d. and will feature
rare bonus trax. Stay tuned to the grooveyard for more details.
... And, last but not least, we are talking to Swedish guitar virtuoso THOMAS LARSSON
about doing a new instrumental guitar disc for the grooveyard. Thomas Larsson recorded and
toured with GLENN HUGHES (DEEP PURPLE soul brother) a few years back and we will be making
his awesome solo disc, "FREERIDE" (which was previously available on ZERO Records in Japan),
available at the grooveyard... (more details and ordering info coming soon)
We at the grooveyard feel that Thomas has a lot to say on the guitar and his "Freeride"
disc is highly recommended and not to be missed. Tune into his kool website at

... Our good musical brothers from Sweden, PLANKTON, have recently recorded all the trax for their forthcoming heavy guitar opus... the disc will feature 13 awesome, mindblowing trax of outstanding "TOTAL GUITAR".
The band is scheduled to mix and master the disc @ the end of the year with the legendary Mats Lindfors @ Little Big Room Studios in Sweden.
The release date is scheduled for early February 2002. Stay tuned to the Grooveyard for more info on this awesome heavy guitar band and their brilliant debut disc.
... Craig Erickson is gearing up for the "SHINE" European tour scheduled for March 2002. The good word is that Brother Rob Lamothe will be joining Craig for the tour. Be sure to catch these amazing gigs @ all costs! (We'll keep you posted on the dates).
And there is even talk of a possible live disc coming out of the gigs. Let's keep our fingers crossed on this one. We are also talking to Craig about doing a new studio disc for the Grooveyard for a possible 2002 release. We'll keep you posted on all developments.
Craig will also be @ the NAMM Show in January @ the VIGIER booth, endorsing their fine guitars.
... We have a limited supply of the CHRIS POLAND - "Chasing the Sun" IMPORT disc with 3 bonus trax not found on the U.S pressing. You can order this disc by clicking on the "Chasing the Sun" cover.

... And, last but not least, we wind down the year on a special note with an "unplugged" Grooveyard gig featuring Rob Lamothe and friends. The gig will take place on Saturday, December 22nd and will prove to be a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season and better daze ahead.

... We begin work on the Plankton disc. The band is busy working and recording new material in Sweden for their debut disc on Grooveyard Records. And, from the trax we've heard, the Plankton disc is going to prove to be a true heavy guitar masterpiece! The Plankton disc is scheduled for release on New Year's Day, 2002 (we couldn't think of a better way to bring in the new year!). Stay tuned to the Grooveyard for more details on this awesome band.
... Axemaster Chris Poland has been busy working on his studio and the OHM opus. Scheduled for release sometime in 2002. Based on the trax we've heard, the OHM disc will be Chris Poland's ultimate guitar statement.
... Craig Erickson jammed at the Tommy Bolin Dest 2001 in Denver, Colorado and treated all the Tommy Bolin-heads to his outstanding, soulful, get-down heavy guitar riffage. Brother Craig also opened up for INDIGENOUS at one of their recent gigs in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
... Our good musical brother, Rob Lamothe, who is featured on the "Shine" disc, has released not one, but TWO awesome new SOLO discs this summer. The two new discs are called "Wishing Well Motel" and "Steering with my Knee" and feature some of Rob's best recorded work to date. Both discs are HIGHLY recommended. Speaking of Rob Lamothe, we are talking to him about doing a new solo disc for our
spin-off label, SOUTHGROOVE, which will be a label dedicated to outstanding singer/songwriters
that we believe in. If all the pieces fall into place, the new Rob Lamothe c.d. will be the
first disc on the label. We are shooting for a 2002 release.
At the end of last year, right before Christmas, we were all treated to an incredible
Rob Lamothe - Unplugged at the Grooveyard gig that was out of this world.
... Chris recently got an endorsement deal with
ERNIE BALL STRINGS and the first MEGADETH disc
with Chris Poland, "Killing is my Business", has recently been re-issued... Completely
re-mastered with rare bonus demo trax. Now we're waiting for the "Peace Sells" disc with
bonus trax!!!
... The CHRIS POLAND - "Rare Trax" disc (GYR002) recently went out of print and we are in the
process of doing a re-pressing, complete with a new layout and design, and awesome new artwork.

The new version includes the killer bonus track, "Sand Castles", which is Chris Poland's
